As the longtime owner of 540 West 25th Street, Weinberg Properties is developing the new Pace Gallery World Headquarters, designed by architect studio Bonetti/Kozerski.

As part of the company’s broader vision to transform its Chelsea properties for the arts, Weinberg Properties is constructing an eight-story, 75,000-square-foot facility, showcasing a cutting-edge vision of what a multi-purpose gallery can be. The new Pace Gallery will include expansive indoor and outdoor galleries, a research library, public-facing art storage, and space dedicated to host new media, performance and public programming.

The redevelopment continues Weinberg’s decades-long relationship with Pace and is designed to echo Chelsea’s historical aesthetic while creating a more open and accessible model for the gallery.

Column-free galleries and event spaces create an open, airy setting for visitors to view the gallery’s renowned exhibitions. The top portion of the building, which is finished in precast concrete panels with metal cladding, will offer an outdoor terrace for special events and exhibitions, providing sweeping, panoramic views of Manhattan.

The new Pace Gallery World Headquarters is slated to open in Fall 2019.
